I want to introduce you to a very special friend of mine this cute, fluffy moose right here is Daisy!

Now, Daisy isn’t just your average stuffed animal; she’s the mascot of my healing journey. Back in 2018, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune illness called EGPA. It was a rough ride, and the medications didn’t make things any easier. Most days, I felt downright awful.

During this tough time, my niece, Mia (a.k.a. Mia Mouse), was busy being a Girl Scout extraordinaire. When she learned about what I was going through, she decided to do something truly special. Mia set her sights on selling 850 boxes of Girl Scout cookies – and guess what? She nailed it! With her points, she got me this very special friend – Daisy.

I’ll be honest – at first, I wasn’t exactly thrilled with Daisy. I felt a bit silly bringing a stuffed moose home at my age. But Mia was determined, so Daisy and I made the journey back to New York City together.

Turns out, Mia knew exactly what I needed. Slowly but surely, Daisy became a huge source of comfort for me. She’s a constant reminder of Mia’s kindness and the incredible power of support during tough times. Daisy also helped me reconnect with my inner child, reminding me to find joy in the little things and not to take life too seriously.

But Daisy’s magic doesn’t stop with me. Today, Daisy is a superstar in her own right, helping countless women on their healing journeys. She even receives her own fan mail and drawings after making her big debut a couple of years ago at the Inner Child Workshop. She became a symbol of comfort, kindness, and unconditional love.

Many of my clients have found that Daisy acts as a bridge, making it easier for them to express their feelings and embrace their vulnerabilities. Holding Daisy, they begin to speak to themselves with the same kindness and compassion they would show to her. It’s hard to be harsh on yourself when you’re hugging a fluffy moose who’s always there with a reassuring presence.

Daisy has become a powerful tool in helping my clients see beyond their immediate struggles. She represents the idea that everyone deserves love and care, especially from themselves. Daisy’s presence encourages my clients to practice self-compassion and to challenge their negative self-talk. They learn to treat themselves with the gentleness they naturally extend to Daisy.
